Produced from 100% Viognier grown in Contra Costa County on Tom Bloomfield’s farm in Brentwood, Ca. The region is well known for its optimal climate for Rhone varietals and consistently produces grapes that go on to be award winning wines. In fact, Tom Bloomfield scored Double Gold, Best of California, Best of Show and Best of Region with his own Viognier at the 2009 California State Fair.
The wine shows hints of honeysuckle and orange blossom on the palate with subtle characteristics of lemon and nectarine. The distinct scent of Bazooka bubble gum in the nose reminds of the baseball card packs we opened as kids with the hard as rock, flat bubble gum in the back that you never even tried to eat....well maybe just that one time. |
